Best comedy show on tv!

It has to be Modern Family with "Al Bundy" (Ed O'Neill)  as the head of the family.
I don't remember when a show made me laugh as much - it's just awesome.

The casting is just on spot, everyone is perfect in their roles - it feels so real and when it's embarrassing, you can FEEL it. But it's not as tough as The Office (UK), I couldn't watch it cause I felt so bad for everyone. Modern Family however has the perfect mixture.

Oslo - capital of No(r)way

Had a great weekend in Oslo, took the train to Gothenburg and a bus from there. Easy enough. Didn't get sick either, fabulous!

made 3 notes to myself:
1) No vegetarian food at Hard Rock Café. Is it possible? Yes, apparantly. Didn't try the Lynchburg Lemonade. There's a first for everything.

2) Japantorget, small but cute Japanese store. Got some great food supplies.

3) Jaipür. Probably the best Indian restaurant I have been to in YEARS. Everything was fantastic. I had my favorite dish, a Chana Masala (made hot to my liking) and a naan bread. It was perfect in every way. Couldn't stop eating and I would have licked the bowl if it wasn't so hot (placed on a tea light burner).

Supergroup... not this one!

Rumours about Sykes when he was fired/left Lizzy said he was going to join a (German) SUPERGROUP. Apart from it not being German if Sykes was in it, I was curious. Who would these Germans be? And why would they think they could handle Sykes?

Then all of a sudden Glenn Hughes released the news about he being part of a SUPERGROUP and of course I smiled to myself, thinking I knew everything. I'm soooo clever.
(I know I'm not clever I am a dreamer)

I am not very disappointed , reading the supergroup guitarist is Joe Bonamassa and not Sykes. I don't really wanna read all the negative stuff about Sykes when he and Glenn has verbal fights in public. But I am worried.
About Sykes.
Where the heck is he?
Is he alright?

A very good day just turned sad.

Dennis Keeley 30.08.32 - 01.01.10
Rest In Peace, you'll be with Phil now.

"And far away hills look greener still
But soon they'll all slip away
It's then I'll be returning
And I'll be coming home to stay"

(a song for while I'm away by Phil Lynott)

The stuff dreams are made of...

... I couldn't help but quote the beautiful, wonderful and poetic mr Mark Spiro. But the things is, his music is what dreams are made of and I can't believe I keep forgetting it.
Mark Piro has written a lot of songs that are unforgettable, but the one I keep coming back to is 'Now is then, then is now' released 1996 and I have listened to it so many times, endless nights when I still was at university and still living from time to time at my mom's. There were so many connections with London and I just swallowed it all. It helped me a lot. The other album I listened to then was of course John Waite's 'Temple Bar'. Still does, once a week is the minimum.

Off to bed now, time for reality tomorrow :-)

Here's a living proof on Mark Spiro's master skills when it comes to lyrics.
