Ozzie's Planet proudly presents My Yearbook 1999

It's apparently that time of the year when it's time to make a summarize and look back and be pleased with what I have achived. This year, as last year, things aren't too obvious. I've spent 7 months on an island in the Baltic Sea called Gotland and it's was a great experience during the summer - the problem started when the cold came in and the tourists flew away... It gets lonesome over there, and with hardly any internet access either... There's only a certain amount of how much one can take!
Best Book: "Glamourama" by Bret Easton Ellis but also "About a Boy" by Nick Hornby
Best CD: Very tricky, but I had a hard time turning off "The Fragile" by Nine Inch Nails and the new Kent album, and the Survivor CD...
Best Concert: Haven't seen much this year, but even if I had the choice would be the same; DARE at Sweden Rock Festival!
Best Single: Have I bought any singles at all this year?? I guess it has to be Tina Turner's "When The Heartache Is Over" cause it's best decribing my mood during this year.
Best Promotional Video: I haven't got a clue... maybe I should pick Europe "The Final Countdown 2000" just to pick anything, but I haven't seen it so it wouldn't be correct!!
The Sexiest Man: My favorite answer to that is John Sykes, but I put that out of a habit.
Best Moment: Leaving Gotland for the first time in 4 months and go home and sleep in my own bed!!
Worst Moment: Feeling all alone.
Awesome Internet Experience: My e-mail pals, and Wild Ones, they're fantastic.
Best Gig: The Lizzies, anywhere, anytime
Best Record Sleeve: Guess it has to be "The Fragile" by Nine Inch Nails
Drink of the Year: Pepsi Max
Best Movie: Notting Hill, it was wonderful and I just know it can happen, it's not only a movie. It was romantic and totally adorable. I even started to like Julia Roberts after that movie.
Eyes of The Year: It was after the Iron Maiden gig, when I saw those eyes in a new shade of the light and I just knew it would happen again. But I'm not gonna fall twice. I'm sorry.
Best Ian Gillan Tune of The Year: "My Heart Remains The Same" performed with Mikhail Rakintzis
The Place of The Year: Well, I spent most time in Gotland - so that's the place, but Stockholm is where I wanna be.
Best Metal Club: Haven't been to any, apart from Pub Anchor in Stockholm.
Nicest Person: Ian Gillan at Sweden Rock Festival.
Asshole of 1999: Yeah, you wanna know that I'm sure, but I can't say it in public...
To summarize: A year of passing time and hard work basically. But I think I've grown as a person and by moving away I have come closer to the ones I love. I hope 2000 will be different in many ways, I only want to be happy and be able to support myself. And I hate to be completly alone.
Final words: a few days into the new Millennium; The way 1999 ended, with a phonecall, the unexpected... The way 2000 began... It's gotta be something going on!
