Yearbook of 2007
Anyway, I used to have a website called "Ozzie's Planet" - it was launced on 1997 and I loved to have a bit of the world of my own. I also had sites dedicated to Ian Gillan ("The Fabulous World Of Ian Gillan" and Pretty Maids ("Savage Heart"), the only one that still remain is "Destination - John Norum" which now is the official site at www.johnnorum.com - I am not sure it will survive much longer without any involvement from the artist himself. All sits were born in 1997 with Fab World being my true baby. I had over a 1000 files on that site and more photos than anyone else. Of course in 1997 there weren't much sites at all. It's not like today. You knew them all.
Network Of Wild Ones was my inspiration though. It was a mailinglist dedicated to Thin Lizzy. A manually run mailinglist, I started with 4 subscribers on January4th 1997 and grew to about 500 in the end. It was enormous- Once again, internet was a lot smaller then and not even messgeboards were as easy as they are today. It was a excellent way to get to know people and I know a lot of Lizzy-fans felt the same way as I did, reconnectiong with old friends. In 2004 (I think) I opened www.nwowo.net wich became a "best of site" with my other sites (except for JohnNorum.com). I think I still own that site so I probably should get it up and running... we'll see :-) I'll put it on my "to-do-list"!
Anyway, here's my YEARBOOK 2007:
Best Book: Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx and This Book Will Save Your Life by AM Homes
Best CD: Extreme Behaviour by Hinder
On The TV: Heroes (finally aired in Sweden this year) and Gilmore Girls. I didn't know it was the last episode ever until a month afterwards. I will miss the show indeed.
Best Concert: Hinder at Sweden Rock Festival along with Thin Lizzy at Hammersmith Apollo. As last time Sykes played his best in London. Why is that? Definitly worth the trip.
Best Single: Lips Of An Angel by Hinder
The Sexiest Man: I'll go with the safe choice here, John Sykes. Hahaha! Some things never changes.
Best Moment: Getting a call from my very dear friend M saying "do you know John Sykes is standing outside your office"? Now, even if my office is backstage at Sweden Rock Festival I didn't really expect that to happen. Not ever. I may have dreamt it, but never ever expected it!
Worst Moment: Some time during the Friday night/Saturday morning at Sweden Rock Festival when I just had had enough and because of the lack of sleep and too much work.
Awesome Internet Experience: Facebook really hit me, but I'll probably get bored with it soon enough, just as I did with MySpace. I probably should remove "awesome" as it's nothing really "awesome" about internet anymore...
Best Gig: Firefest IV 2007 must be a gig rather than concert. Valentine live was THE show. I hope I will have moments like this again cause it's what I live for. That one concert that moves you and surprises you and bring tears to your eyes. Valentine did just that. Harem Scarem was super too.
Drink of the Year: Some things never changes; water and Pepsi :-) along with the occasional JD and a glass of cold white wine. However, Cosmopolitans just don't say no either...
Best Movie: I haven't really seen any movie that was good enough to go up on this list. I liked "This Is England" but I doubt I'll see it 7 more times...
Eyes of The Year: My very own blue eyed man :-)
Best Ian Gillan Tune of The Year: This year, Ian Gillan has been singing "Haunted" over and over again on my iPod.
The Place of The Year: NEW YORK CITY, I loved it. Going back in 2008!
Best Metal Club: Haven't been to any... apart from Pub Anchor, where I was twice. I am a very bad person for going there at all as it's a horrible place and too crowded and the sound is awful and you can't see the band performing... But yes, I was there. Twice.
Nicest Person: That would be my assistant who very rarely complaints or yell at me. Who has unbelievable resources of patience and still wants to come back and work with me, and share office although he could get his own (no too late to change your mind, I won't be offended)...
Asshole of 2007: Actually it wouldn't be smart making it public. It could come back and bite me. Where it really hurts.
To summarize: It's been a good year, considering how little things are changing each year but how much they've changed since the yearbook 2002. I am mostly a happy person. Since 2005 my world evolves around Sweden Rock Festival and the year basically ends when the festival is over and the new year starts right after the summer holidays in September. I do try to remember that I am happy and take the time to FEEL it. It is far too easy to forget it and take it for granted.
Final words: The festival 2008 will be awesome. I just know it. On a personal note I hope New York will be awesome. Again. And I really hope this will be the year when I finally will see John Waite live.

Christmas Cookies Recipie
1 cup of water
lemon juice
1 tsp baking soda
4 large eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup nuts
1 tsp salt
2 cups of dried fruit
1 cup of brown sugar
1 bottle Jack Daniel's Whiskey
_____________________________
Sample the Jack Daniel's to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Jack Daniel's again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Jack Daniel's is still OK, try another cup just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Jack Daniel's to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a sheet. Check the Jack Daniel's. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Dack Janiels and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.
CHERRY MISTMAS
Update (at last)!
Have been doing quite some things this year. Been to New York for the very first time (awesome), seen Valentine and Harem Scarem at Firefest (unbelievable), had Aerosmith playing at Sweden Rock Festival (I survived) and met John Sykes twice. I've also started working with Sweden Rock Productions wich is kinda cool I guess, one small step in the right direction of my goals. Small step being the keyword. The last 4 months I've re-discovered music again which is wonderful of course, music being my life for 25 years but lately I just haven't had the energy of actually caring about it, I can actually tell exactly what I've listened to the last 4 years. Thin Lizzy, John Sykes, Dare, John Waite, 3 Doors Down and this year Hinder. But recently I was asked about my favorite albums and while choosing them I re-discoverd my record collection and it sure has been fun! Thanx to Mark for doing me the favor!
I have spent most time at work I am afraid. Home may be where the heart is but don't tell me my work is my home cause that would make me sad.
In New York I got to know the baked Cheesecake. To me Cheesecake always been cold and rather thin dessert - now in New York it was heavy and huge and FABULOUS! First stop after leaving the airport was Cheesecake Factory in New Jersey and what a greeting that was! Loved it! The only regret was actually having dinner first, I should have gone for the cheesecakes right away (the privilege of being grown up). Anyway, bought about 5 books of recipes and I am still trying them out. For Christmas it will be a gingerbread & saffron cheescake :-)
What else? My original site is down (nwowo.net) but hopefully my Wild Ones-fellows will find me here or on Facebook. Some found me on MySpace but I must admitt I can't find the energy to be on MySpace.
I want to keep this site going and hopefully, now that I actually can log in, I will update.
Be good!
